More with David Gordon

July 18, 2008 – 6:00 am
Picking up where we left off with David Gordon, the Tulsa East Central cornerback...  Saying he feels at home at Arkansas, Gordon said being a Razorback would ‘take away the risk factor’.    “It’s close to home. It’s pretty much a school that’s right for me,” he said. “They have a great track program, good football team, good coaching staff and it’s only an hour and thirty minutes away from home.”    Besides being an outstanding football player, Gordon is one of the better sprinters in the nation with times of 10.41 in the 100 meter dash and 21.22 in the 200.   “I have to do both in college. Its part of my life, its part of who I am,” Gordon said.   Some recruits have made it be known how they’ve flown around the country just to take official visits to so-called glamor spots, something that doesn’t appeal to Gordon.
