What is it with Arkansas and quarterbacks these days?

Offensive line coach Mike Summers was in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area Thursday checking out propects.

The record crowd at Arkansas' Red-White game in April impressed New Orleans offensive lineman Joey Fontana. He witnessed first-hand the enthusiasm of Razorbacks fans before he even stepped foot on the campus.

Running back D.J. Adams of Norcross High School in Georgia has 16 scholarship offers, including one from Arkansas. Other schools making offers include Auburn Clemson, Maryland, Notre Dame, Boston College and Louisville.

Running back Curtis McGregor, 5-10, 195, 4.4, has Arkansas high on his list.

Montrell McDonald, 6-6, 185, is expected to make an official visit to Arkansas this weekend. The small forward is from Cowley County Community College in Winfield, Kan.

Austin Moss has two cousins who also play football. Jacob Moss attended Arkansas, while Thomas Moss, Jacob's younger brother, will walk on at Arkansas next season. Check out video of Thomas here.

The Lady Razorbacks basketball team plans to host two prospects on official visits this weekend. Forward Ashley McCray, 6-3 of Chipola college in Florida and Southwest Tennessee community college forward/ center Starkitsha Luellen, 6-0, who played at Melrose High School in Memphis.

Lake Hamilton wide receiver Josh Proffit, 6-0, 172, 4.56 will attend Wyoming's football camp June 4. He said the Cowboys told him they would offer a scholarship if he makes it to the camp.

Linebacker Cody Marley, 6-0, 228, 4.64 of Denton Guyer (Texas) visited Arkansas a little over a month ago.

White Hall wide receiver/outside linebacker Desmond Washington, 6-0 ½ , 195, 4.62 and offensive lineman Brett Craine 6-6, 285, 5.36 attended Tulsa's spring scrimmage last weekend. Both reportedly had great visits.

Russellville offensive lineman Matt Hall, who signed with the Hogs in February, has been following the workout plan he received from Arkansas. I talked to Matt on Tuesday night about his progress.

Little Rock Christian quarterback Griffin Kuhn (6-3, 180, 4.7) is one of the top signal-callers in the state.

Helena- West Helena cornerback Darius Winston, who orally committed to Arkansas in February, received his 21st scholarship offer on Monday when Oklahoma State was the latest to offer.

The AAU Old School Super Regional basketball tournament will be held in Conway this weekend with 90 teams from 10 states participating.
